LEARNING THE BASICS OF INDESIGN & CREATING A COMPOSITE IMAGE IN PHOOSHOP

In this weeks CAD lesson we have been looking at learning the basics of adobe InDesign in order to be able to eventually create our own fashion look books. We had a go at creating our own postcards by importing images and playing around with orientation and margins. We learnt a lot about formatting skills in order to help the placement of images etc. so that everything looks as you want it to. I found InDesign fairly simple to use and it also produces professional outcomes and so this is a platform I can't wait to learn more about and integrate into my own work.

We also had another go at photoshop and experimented by cropping elements of one image into another in order to create a composite image. - In this example we inserted an element of an image of the sea, into an image of a tea cup, making it look as if the sea is held within it. This created really interesting effects and I’d like to see how I can utilise this technique in future work.
