Last week I went up to Liberty's in London to see their beautiful and historic, tudor-style building and explore their extensive range of colourful prints and patterns.
Our whole project since the start of the course has been based around the client of Liberty's and so it was really great to get an up-close look at their designs and what they're all about as a company.
My upcoming project will be creating patterns for dress/furnishing fabrics on the theme of plants and so it was really inspiring to see some of Liberty's iconic ditsy floral designs.
I feel that having been up to Liberty's and seen some of their unique designs and fabrics up-close will be really benificial to my studies; being able to draw on some of the patterns and ideas in my own images as well as being able to more clearly link my work back to our client.
I loved seeing Liberty's one of a kind patterns up-close - the vibrant colours and playful prints are really unique and inspiring to me.
