In this weeks computer aided design lesson we started to look at how we can create fonts digitally. We first had a go at drawing and experimenting with fonts by hand and were then able to scan this into photoshop; copy it into adobe illustrator and start to manipulate/edit it digitally.
By doing this we could start to look at changing the colour, scale; using the pen tool move around lines, etc. It was really interesting to be able to take something initially done by hand onto a digital platform - expanding the creative freedom and being able to take the initial design/drawing so much further.
I'm really looking forward to further experimenting with taking hand-drawings onto a digital platform.
